A 'Public Golf Gem' at the Heart of the Melrose Community
Built in the thirties, upgraded to modern conditions, Mount Hood offers challenge, variety, and fun! In the midst of a wooded 300 acre park and just 10 minutes from 'Beantown', you’d think you were in the heart of Vermont. The course has loads of character and incorporates the natural topography into the design. Featuring exposed granite that surrounds a number of the endulated greens, these characteristics make Mount Hood a prime example of the 'Classic Era' of golf course design. Nearly half of the tees are dramatically elevated, which welcomes soaring tee shots and offers commanding views of Boston, New Hampshire, and the Atlantic Ocean.
